
Brandi joined United Way in January 2025 as a Financial Counselor serving Weakley, Carroll, and Henry counties. A lifelong resident of Northwest Tennessee, Brandi is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve success in all areas of their lives.
She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor degree in Psychology in 2011. After graduation, Brandi dedicated her career to mental health and substance abuse services, holding roles such as case manager, crisis counselor, employment specialist, family prevention specialist, and youth engagement coordinator for a prevention coalition. She is also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and Certified Credit Counselor. Throughout her career, Brandi has focused on helping individuals gain the education and tools necessary to achieve their goals, always with a client-centered approach.
Brandi's commitment to empowering others has been recognized by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, who honored her in April 2019 for her success in helping individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain meaningful employment using the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Model. Brandi has built strong, lasting relationships with agencies, working collaboratively within the communities she serves.
In addition to her direct service work, Brandi has shared her knowledge as a guest speaker at several key events, including the Behavioral Health Advisory Committee Meeting (2020), the Carey Counseling Peer Support Conference (2019), and as a panel speaker at the IPS Conference (2019). She is also a continuing guest speaker for the University of Tennessee at Martin’s psychology department, where she presents annually on career opportunities in psychology.
Outside of her professional life, Brandi enjoys spending quality time with her family. She also has a strong passion for researching a variety of topics, continuously expanding her knowledge. Brandi’s dedication to empowering others continues to drive her efforts to advance growth, stability, and opportunity within the community.
