Jennifer became a valuable asset to United Way as a Family Champion for Weakley and Carroll Counties in July 2024. Her prior role as Manager of Education and Community Engagement at West TN PBS encompassed 18 West Tennessee counties, where she made significant strides in community outreach. Before that, she gained a wealth of experience as the Assistant at Carroll County Coordinated School Health, building relationships with community partners and supporting Carroll County Special School Districts.
In the classroom, Jennifer has a rich background in teaching first and third grade at McKenzie Elementary School and covering maternity leaves, as well as substituting for several years. Her teaching career spans both private and public school sectors across various states.
Jennifer is deeply involved in her community. She is the Vice President of the Martin’s Kiwanis Club, a member of the Carroll County CAB Board, the Carroll County Health Council, and past board member Carroll County Prevention Coalition. Her leadership extends back to when she served as the Vice President of the Pearl Harbor Military Housing Authority while her husband was stationed in Hawaii in the late 1990s.
Having lived in West Tennessee since 2009, Jennifer is a (retired) military spouse whose passion for community service was ignited by the military lifestyle. Her journey across eight different states has endowed her with a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective that she brings to every community she serves.
