Every year, we help raise funds through company campaigns and special events on behalf of local service-based agencies (nonprofits) — a vital role we play so they can focus on what they do best: serving their communities. But fundraising is not the only area we service. We also coordinate with these nonprofits to provide multi-faceted support for our community. In essence, we forge partnerships with those who are already addressing people’s needs. This collaboration helps prevent duplication of services and increases county-specific access to crucial resources. Rather than viewing other nonprofits as competition, we see them as an integral part of our community. Together, we accomplish so much more, and we eagerly support those who seek to make a different in West Tennessee.

West TN Nonprofit NetworkAt the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, United Way organized bi-weekly Zoom calls with nonprofit leaders across the region. These virtual meetings provided them with important updates on the latest developments, while also increasing service coordination to those with the greatest need. Since then, United Way established the West Tennessee Nonprofit Network to maintain that momentum and communication.
