Handle With Care is a trauma-informed approach that updates school administrators about students who experienced traumatic events outside of school. The initiative is a recent partnership between United Way and select West Tennessee school districts. A secure, web-based platform is used to send notifications and alerts.
Handle With Care ensures that trauma-affected students receive appropriate, timely interventions in order to be as successful as possible in school and provide connection to additional resources, as needed.
