United Way Partners with Weakley County to Celebrate LIVE UNITED 2024

United Way of West Tennessee is excited to partner with Parker Hannifin to celebrate Live United Week 2024 in Weakley County on March 18 through March 22.

United Way and Weakley County will host the following events in conjunction with LIVE UNITED: a Weakley County Pork/Ribs Luncheon and Lawn Mower Giveaway. Both events will serve to benefit all Weakley County partner nonprofits: A Step Ahead, American Red Cross, Carl Perkins Center, Greenfield Senior Center, Impact Management Solutions, Jackson Center for Independent Living (JCIL), Scarlet Rope Project, STAR Center, WE CARE Ministries, Inc., Weakley County Backpack Program, and WRAP.

The luncheons, sponsored by Parker Hannifin, will take place on Tuesday, March 19 and Friday, March 22 from 11am to 1pm. On Tuesday, Boston butts and pulled pork sack lunches will be provided; Thursday’s menu will consist of rack ribs and rib sack lunches. Community members should pre-order and pick up at Parker Hannifin in Greenfield, Tenn. Delivery will be available. Pre-orders are preferably due by March 15 by calling 731-235-3122. Orders placed after this day are allowed, while supplies last.

Starting on March 18, individuals can also help raise funds for their local agencies through the Lawn Mower Giveaway. Participants can donate for multiple tickets and can enter to win at Parker Hannifin and WE CARE Ministries or online HERE. The winner will receive a Cub Cadet XT2 LX46 Lawn Tractor, sponsored by Stanley Black & Decker.

United Way also welcomes any donations from those unable to participate in the luncheon or giveaway in person from March 18 through March 22. All contributions stay “in-house” to benefit the Weakley County community.
